In May 2005,
we were commissioned to drive forward a new visitor centre
that could change the entire appeal of the Stroud District
as a visitor destination.
It is a generally held view by those involved that Thistledown
Environmental Centre will be one of the UK's most exciting
and innovative farm diversification projects. Set within 112
acres of glorious Cotswold landscape, the centre will offer
its visitors the experience of natural environments, wildlife,
sculpture and education.

Founder Richard Kelly asked us to bring his vision to life,
gaining interest and support for Thistledown. He did not want
a marketing consultancy to take his vision and redirect it
but to work with him, providing marketing strategy and communications
that conveyed his dream in an accurate and compelling way.
What we did
- We wrote a detailed business plan
- We created Thistledown’s branding
- We produced an interactive 3D fly through of the main
building
- We developed a public sector funding strategy
- We designed and built Thistledown’s website
- We generated PR and media interest (local press &
BBC)
- We gained widespread support (across local community,
district council and public sector funding levels)
Results
We have quickly become an integral part of Thistledown, and
have created a serge of interest during this inception phase.
All communications have been successful in building enthusiasm
and excitement for the project and we are currently acting
as project co-ordinators whilst other members of the management
team continue to bid for funding.
